PNCA Visitor Information: Home

The PNCA Library welcomes visiting researchers who have a specific and tangible need that directly relates to the PNCA Library collection. The library collection consists of approximately 43,000 books, DVDs, zines, periodicals, and artists' books largely pertaining to the history and practice of art, craft, and design. The collection emphasizes scholarship on the major participants, perspectives, events, and trends of the 20th and 21st centuries and the critical discourse surrounding these activities.

Visiting Researcher access is by appointment only.

Appointments can be requested by filling out a Visiting Researcher Appointment Request Form or by calling 503-821-8966. Requests must be submitted by 5:00 pm the day prior to the requested appointment date, or by 5:00 pm on the Friday before a requested Monday appointment.

All visitors must check in at the PNCA reception desk before entering the library.

Visiting researchers are welcome to use material in the library, but do not have checkout privileges; computer access is not available for visitors. If you are 15 minutes or more late, your appointment will be forfeited and you must reschedule. By visiting the library, you agree to abide by the library’s standards of conduct.
