Library of Things: Home

General Information

The library lends a variety of items--not just books! We have always loaned things like dry erase markers, phone and laptop chargers and more. The “Library of Things” is a collection hosted by the Mark O. Hatfield Library with the goal of increasing access to materials required for extracurricular and leisure activities in an effort to improve mental health and quality of life for Willamette students. By creating a lending library of tools, outdoor items, craft supplies and more, this collection seeks to promote sustainability and ease some of the financial and practical barriers students face as they explore their interests outside of the classroom.

Funding for the initial items in the Library of Things collection was provided by a CAFES grant in 2023.
