The mission of the Mark O. Hatfield Library is to support student and faculty study, research and teaching. The library is a university library; its building, equipment and collections are designed to be used by adults.
Children are welcome in the library and may use library materials. However, for safety reasons and to preserve the collection and equipment for those for whom it is intended, children under the age of fifteen must remain under the direct and close supervision of an accompanying adult. Unsupervised or disruptive children will not be allowed to remain in the library. Library staff may request assistance from Campus Safety staff as appropriate.
Children may not borrow materials from the library except for children of faculty or staff.
