All Willamette circulating materials are subject to recall. If an item you need is checked out, you can recall it from the original patron. However, we encourage you to request the item through Summit, as it is generally available to you faster than if you recall it from another patron. Items borrowed through Summit arrive on average between 3-5 business days.
If the item you need is not available through Summit, you may request a hold, a recall, or fill out our online form to request it through Interlibrary Loan.
Any item is eligible for recall after it has circulated for 3-14 days. When a recall notice is issued, a new, earlier due date is automatically assigned. Fines will be levied from this new due date. If you receive a recall notice, you must return the item by the new due date or you will be subject to recall fines. Once you return the item, you may place a hold or recall on that item to reserve it when it is returned, or you may request the item through Summit. Ask at the Circulation Desk for more details on the recall policy.
