Hatfield Borrowing Information

Policy

Any circulating item is eligible for recall after it has been checked out for 3-14 days. When a recall notice is issued, a new, earlier due date is automatically assigned. Fines will be levied from this new due date. If you receive a recall notice, you must return the item by the new due date or you will be subject to recall fines.

What to do if your item is recalled

A recall automatically happens when a patron requests an item that is already checked out to another patron. This request will recall it from the original patron. However, we strongly encourage you to request the item through Summit instead, as it is generally available to you faster than if you recall the Willamette copy from another patron. Items borrowed through Summit arrive on average between 3-5 business days.

If the item you need is not available through Summit, you can fill out our online form to request it through Interlibrary Loan instead.
