Music: Websites

This organization is comprised of approximately 900 members who are dedicated to the music education of Oregonians of all ages. The majority of our members teach in K-12 school, colleges, and universities.

The mission of Music Teachers National Association is to advance the value of music study and music making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers.

The mission of the National Association for Music Education is to advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all. NAfME advocates at the local, state, and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents, and administrators; hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers.

Oregon Music Education Association promotes excellence in music education and serves the professional needs of its members. OMTA is an affialiate of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the oldest professional music teachers association in the United States.

The mission of the Association for Technology in Music Instruction (ATMI) is to improve music teaching and learning through the integration of current and emerging technologies into the music learning environment.

Music for All is one of the largest and most influential national music education organizations in support of active music making. Music for All is unique in that it combines programming at a national level with arts education advocacy.

The College Music Society promotes music teaching and learning, musical creativity and expression, research and dialogue, and diversity and interdisciplinary interaction. A consortium of college, conservatory, university, and independent musicians and scholars interested in all disciplines of music, the Society provides leadership and serves as an agent of change by addressing concerns facing music in higher education.
