Sarah is Willamette’s Director of the Digital Learning Studio. She taught art history for seven years at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor before moving back to Oregon. Sarah has lived and worked internationally on and off since she was 11 years old. She loves painting, hiking, knitting, museums, architecture, studying languages, and reading mystery novels.
My teaching and learning interests include immigrant autobiography, Spanish and Latin American cultures, second language acquisition, and active learning strategies. I came to Willamette from The Ohio State University where I have been designing, teaching and coordinating Spanish language courses at Lima regional campus for 20 years. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Master of Arts in Hispanic Literatures and Cultures, and Master of Educational Studies (Education Technology) at OSU. I love theater, hiking, yoga and dogs.
