Katriniana: Home

Katriniana

Katriniana is a term created by Susan Larson, former book editor for the Times-Picayune newspaper in New Orleans.  She used it to describe the inundation of publications created in response to Hurricane Katrina.

This guide focuses on a personal collection of literary, artistic, and musical works gathered over the past decade by Doreen Simonsen.  It is a representative, but not comprehensive, list of all possible works about Hurricane Katrina.

These works will also be on display in the Mark O. Hatfield Library at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon until September 23rd.

is an excellent source for annotated bibliographies and essays about New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina books.
