If you only need a couple of chapters from a particular book, you can arrange to have those chapters scanned.

Use your Willamette email address and send the full citation, including chapter(s) needed, to library@willamette.edu.  We will scan the chapters and return them to you as quickly as possible via email. There is no turnaround time guarantee.

If you really need the whole book and you live within 60 miles of campus, you can arrange to pick up materials.

To request a book, use your Willamette email address and send the full citation to library@willamette.edu.  Indicate “On-Campus Pickup” in your email subject heading, and we will pull the book, check it out to you, and send you a numerical pickup code associated with the book via email. (For privacy reasons we won’t label books with your name). It will be placed on a book cart in the library vestibule for you to pick up. You will have 2-days to pick it up once you receive the email and you will need a valid ID to access the vestibule.

If you really need the whole book and live more than 60 miles from campus, you can arrange for materials to be sent to you.

To request a book, use your Willamette email address and send the full citation to library@willamette.edu. Indicate “Deliver via Mail” in your email subject heading. Summit and ILL

Requesting of physical items from Summit and ILL has been discontinued indefinitely. Summit has shut down until further notice and the vast majority of institutions have discontinued physical ILL lending as well.

Finding Ebooks in the Library's Catalog

You can identify and access ebooks through our catalog, using either method listed below:

Select "ebooks" as the Material Type, under Search Scope choose "WU Libraries," and then do your search. (Publisher licensing requirements prevent access to ebooks purchased by other SUMMIT libraries.)

Search the catalog and then apply the limiters (located on the left hand side of the results page.)
